April 20, 2019, 1:00 PM - June 7, 2019, 5:00 PM @ Hayward Shoreline Interpretive Center
*On display in the Salt Marsh Exhibit Gallery*
The watercolor illustrations in this exhibit were created by Master Artists
studying at the Mary L. Harden School of Botanical Illustration with close observation of live plant specimens during the entire painting process to ensure accurate taxonomy. Paired with these unique botanical renditions of native plants we also show a variety of bees illustrated by Noel Pugh, Scientific Illustrator, who is showing his bee illustrations created for A Field Guide to Common Bees of California, published in 2014 by UC Press.
It is our desire to draw attention to the all-important relationship between plants, native bees, and other pollinators who continue the survival of our global food supply.
