Cherryland Community Center

Adjacent to the Meek Estate, the Cherryland Community Center will be a state-of-the-art Eco-friendly facility that will house multi-use and movement rooms, pre-k activity room, an Alameda County Library Annex, and a first-class reception hall with a catering kitchen that can accommodate up to 230 people.

Important Dates:

Ground Breaking: Thursday, April 12, 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Cherryland Community Center Site (Hampton & Boston Roads).

Please join us for the official ground breaking for the Cherryland Community Center. County Supervisor, Nate Miley, will host the festivities in celebration of the accomplishments of the community, designers, County and HARD staff in the development of this site.

Please note:

  • At the ground breaking ceremony, HARD will list dates for community input meetings for future programming. 
  • Construction will take between 14 – 18 months
    • Traffic will be affected in the area.
    • A portion of the Meek Estate Park parking lot will be blocked off for a staging area during construction.
    • There will be no reservations of the picnic areas during this time.
