Ken Blanton Ken Blanton is one of the top ten volunteers at Sulphur Creek that has consistently volunteered his time every single week for the past 15 years; an in the process, has logged in more than 2800 hours! Ken's specialty is overseeing the morning care and cleaning of cages for the resident birds; songbirds, hawks, owls, ravens, crows, turkey vultures and the golden eagle. In addition, he helps with the mounds of daily laundry and dishes. During the Spring, Ken is dedicated to the Baby Bird Room, feeding dozens of baby birds every half hour. Ken is also a great help assisting staff with getting new volunteers acclimated and trained on the morning work schedules. He is incredibly dependable and always stays until the morning jobs are completed; and is a true asset to the Sulphur Creek Nature Center and the District.
