Winter is a time of hibernation for many animals, but the Hayward shoreline swells with the activity of over 125 migrating and resident bird species in the winter. Join the naturalist staff to explore the marsh, conduct experiments, make fun crafts to take home, and do some fishing during the winter's high tides. All equipment is provided.Hey kids! Get up close and personal with the bayshore’s birds, plants, bugs, and other crawly critters. Ask your family to drop you off mornings at the shoreline for five days of salt marsh madness. Meet birds and bugs, search for life in the mud, play games, go on a scientific voyage of discovery, and learn why the Shoreline is such an important place. Fee includes T-shirt and all activities. Registration opens on August 1st, 2018, and you can register online here.
