Bryce Yoon
Mr. Bryce Yoon was awarded the Monthly Volunteer Recognition Award for September 2013 for his volunteer service in the Taekwondo Program.
Bryce teaches Taekwondo on Tuesday and Thursdays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and holds bi-monthly promotion ceremonies to recognize and reward the progress of the students he teaches. Taekwondo is great for children; which engages them in physical activity, improves balance and coordination, bolsters self-esteem, strengthens their determination and imparts discipline. The children Bryce teaches flourish while learning the techniques of Taekwondo. Taekwondo is also very effective in helping children develop the confidence to handle the stress of today's school environment. Most Taekwondo classes range from $150 - $300 per month. Bryce teaches the class at no cost to 15 - 20 youth who attend the Matt Jimenez Community Center After school Program; who would otherwise not have the opportunity to learn the values that Taekwondo teaches. He has also brought together the parents of the students through potlucks and class demonstrations.
