Help Create a Park next to the creek in your neighborhood through our online survey and community events on April 22nd, May 3rd and May 15. Continue reading for more information below.

The Hayward Area Recreation and Park District (H.A.R.D.) and The Trust for Public Land (TPL) are planning the first phase of improvements to the future park at D & Clay St, while also planning for the long-term vision. The community is invited to co-envision this new community space.

Your future D & Clay St. Park of the Upper B Street Neighborhood is within walking distance of Hayward High and Faith Ringgold Elementary.

Sulphur Creek runs through this future park site, nestled between D and E Streets at Clay St. It is home to Eucalyptus and native Oak trees. Native plants will be preserved and the space will be enhanced with amenities for the public to enjoy. A segment of the Foothill Trail will be completed as part of this project, allowing visitors to walk and cycle directly into and through the park.

This project is supported by WRT, a team of planners, urban designers, architects, and landscape architects, and Winter Consulting, an engagement firm who specializes in connecting planners with the community. These teams are collaborating with HARD and TPL to engage the Hayward community in creating a vibrant park at D & Clay St.
