The Adult Sports Program is pleased to nominate as the
Volunteer of the Month for November 2008. Mr. Ross has been a volunteer
in the Adult Sports Senior Softball Program for over twelve years. During
2008, Larry has unselfishly contributed a total of 166 volunteer hours
to the program as a coach/manager.
It takes a tremendous amount of time and effort to be manager of the
Senior Softball Program, which comes not only comes with a great deal
of responsibility, but requires attention to details. Mr. Ross has consistently
carried out all the administrative responsibilities of the league and
his contribution to the program and the league cannot be understated.
As manager, Larry is required to attend meetings and communicate regularly
with the Senior Softball Commissioner. He also drafts players, schedules
and conducts practices, and is a coach.
Larry Ross is an asset to the Adult Sports Program, to his peers and
to the community at large. The success of the Senior Softball League
is due to the hard work and dedication of coaches and managers like Larry,
who is also known as the manager to play for because of his
commitment to the players, who he never stops coaching.
Mr. Larry Ross is very deserving of the recognition award and the Adult
Sports Program Staff is very happy to nominate him for this award. In
addition, he will be eligible for the Volunteer of the Year Award for
2008, which will be announced in January 2009. |
