has been selected for the Monthly Volunteer Recognition Award for September 2011 for her dedication and hard work in the Youth and Teen Program at the Matt Jimenez Community Center for over four years.
Vigil annually builds the Haunted House, handles the publicity for the Haunted House and the carnival, as well as continually helps recruit volunteers for events such as movie nights, Girl Scouts, Thanksgiving, Giveaways and the Christmas Party. She is confident and articulate in public; eagerly takes direction from staff; completes all tasks flawlessly and with a smile; takes a great deal of initiative, and always does things without being asked. She definitely is an asset to the Matt Jimenez Community Center staff and participants, who extend their sincere appreciation to Vigil for her dedication and hard work. Vigil is very deserving of the Monthly Volunteer Recognition Award.
Vigil will be eligible for the Volunteer of the Year Award for 2011, which will be announced in January, 2012. |
