has been selected for the
Monthly Volunteer Recognition Award for June 2009 for her volunteer work
at the Douglas Morrisson Theatre, where she has been a volunteer since
2003. During that time she
has given generously of her time as a seamstress in over 23 productions
from "The Secret Garden" in 2003, to our current production of "A Chorus
Line".
Mae is a very skilled seamstress and her expertise and advice is much
appreciated by the costume department staff. Her patience, sense
of humor, and ability to stay calm in the face of tight deadlines, and
even tighter budgets, makes her invaluable to our costume shop. She
is also the best baker at the Theatre and everyone benefits from the
wonderful treats she shares.
She is liked and respected by everyone who works with her. As
a volunteer, she makes her community a better place to live in by ensuring
that live theatre remains available and affordable in her community.
Mae will be eligible for the Volunteer of the Year Award for 2009, which
will be announced in January of 2010. |
