has been selected for the Monthly Volunteer Recognition Award for March 2008 for her hard work and dedication to the Dance Program for almost three years.
Grace has been a participant in the District’s Dance Program since she was three years old and is multi-talented with a background in dance, choreography and music. She has volunteered her time by helping Miss Barbara Primmer with her ballet, tap and acrobatic classes for ages 6 to 13, and volunteers her time to help out with Miss Barbara’s Production Assistant Workshop. She has also contributed to the past two spring recitals, by choreographing dances and assisting Miss Barbara with rehearsals.
Grace Tamaki is seen as a role model by many of the younger dancers and her love for music and dance make her shine. She is extremely caring and patient with students and has a great imagination for choreography. Grace is well liked by her peers and will be performing a Pointe Solo in two of the Nutcracker dances this year. Her help and dedication has contributed to the success of the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District’s Dance Program.
Her picture will be displayed in the District Administration Office as the Monthly Volunteer Recognition Awardee for March 2008. In addition, she will be eligible for the Volunteer of the Year Award for 2008, which will be announced in January 2009. |
