has been selected for the Monthly Volunteer Recognition
Award for February 2010 for his volunteer work in the Senior Tuesday
Program of the Ashland Community Center, where he has been a dedicated
volunteer for the last seven years.
Clyde is dedicated, faithful and committed to the Senior Tuesday Program,
where he provides and plays music during lunch for the Ashland Senior
Tuesday program participants. He goes to great lengths to ensure that
music is available. His desire to share his appreciation of music
drives him to be a part of a program that is centered around older adults
and aiding in building community, health and friendships. In his spare
time, Clyde makes CDs from his vast collection of music, from the 1940’s
to today, to play during lunch. He takes great care of his selections
aiming to provide the senior participants an opportunity to listen to,
be exposed to and enjoy various artists and a variety of music that may
not be available to them.
He will be eligible for the Volunteer of the Year Award for 2010, which
will be announced in January of 2011. |
