, who has been a volunteer in the Art Program at the Adobe Art Center for the past ten years, has been selected for the Monthly Volunteer Recognition Award for January 2008. Her many responsibilities as a volunteer include opening the Adobe Gallery every Friday for visitors, and closing the building at the end of an event. Lorraine also assists the Gallery staff to label and inventory art pieces for exhibitions that take place during the year, greets visitors and helps answer questions that patrons might have. Lorraine is trustworthy, always cheerful and continues to be a real pleasure, as well as a reliable and competent volunteer that the Art Program staff can always depend on.
Her picture will be displayed in the District Administration Office as the Monthly Volunteer Recognition Awardee for January 2008. In addition, she will be eligible for the Volunteer of the Year Award for 2008, which will be announced in January 2009.
