has been selected for the Monthly Volunteer Recognition Award
for August 2009 for his dedication and hard work in the Youth, Teen and Senior
Programs at the Matt Jimenez Community Center where he has been a full-time
volunteer for the past four months. It should be noted that Carlos has
donated 160 volunteer hours during the first three weeks of September, and
a total of 640 hours since June 2009.
Carlos is responsible for the daily operation of all Senior Programs at the
Matt Jimenez Community Center that serves about twenty seniors daily. He
also volunteers as a group leader in the after school program at MJCC, supervising
about twenty children at any given time. Carlos is not only an efficient
volunteer, but has proven to be very responsible and trustworthy and has been
assigned more and more responsibilities by the MJCC staff and coordinators. He
is a diligent volunteer and never hesitates to take on any challenge. Not
only does he perform his duties beyond any expectation, but also always does
it with a smile and great attitude. The Matt Jimenez Community Center
staff is very pleased to nominate Carlos Leon for the Monthly Volunteer Recognition
Award.
He will be eligible for the Volunteer of the Year Award for 2009, which will
be announced in January. |
