The Summer Day Camp Program is pleased to nominate as the Volunteer of the Month for August 2008. She contributed 240 volunteer hours during the 2008 summer Day Camp Program as a Junior Counselor in Camp Tenderfoot and Potowatomi.
Being a Junior Counselor entails working with a Counselor and assisting them with crafts, educational activities and the supervision of campers 4 years to 12 years of age. Once again this summer Maclane was enthusiastic, helpful, created a warm and friendly atmosphere and went above and beyond the call of duty. Her dedication, warm personality and a great work ethic were invaluable to both the campers and the staff, and made the summer camp program a memorable experience for all the participants.
Her picture will be displayed in the District Administration Office as the Monthly Volunteer Recognition Awardee for August 2008. In addition, she will be eligible for the Volunteer-of-the-Year Award for 2008, which will be announced in January 2009. |
