Youth Enrichment Program Volunteers - volunteerhayward@haywardrec.org

Join other volunteers for this award-winning multi-governmental and community collaboration that focuses on providing free enrichment activities to children after-school and during vacations. In 1996, this program was developed to help youth deal with the challenges they face in order to become successful in school and life.

Volunteers do everything from teaching Spanish, tutoring and helping with homework, organizing talent shows, soliciting donations, chaperoning field trips, becoming a pen pal, teaching art classes, motivating and encouraging kids, and playing endless board games or basketball. YEP volunteers have won many awards for their outstanding contributions.
