Summer Camp Information for Parents

The District offers several different Summer Day Camps for kids of all ages.Click here to download the flyer!

At Camp Tenderfoot, Camp Potowatomi and Vida Nueva Leadership Camp participants can hike, play adventure games, sing camp songs, splash in the creek, make cool crafts and create their own skits. Camps are held at East Avenue Park, 140 acres of "urban wilderness" in the Hayward hills. Details about all of our fun and exciting camps can be found in the "Naturalist Programs" section of our quarterly brochure.

Hayward Shoreline Interpretive Center’s Bay Camp program:

Hey kids! Have you ever wanted to get up close and personal with the bayshore’s birds, plants, plants, bugs and other crawly critters? Ask mom or dad to drop you off mornings at the Shoreline for five days of salt marsh madness. Meet birds and bugs, search for life in the mud, play games, catch (and release) fish, go on a scientific voyage of discovery and learn why the shoreline is such an important place. Each week ends with a fun party that parents and siblings can attend. Fee includes T-shirt and all activities. Sessions indicate grade your child will attend in September. More info..
