12/13/17 – 12am: Early deadline to be considered for postcard and publicity*
01/12/18 – 12am: Deadline for submissions
01/15/18 and 1/16/18 | 6–8pm: Deliver artwork with a label, artist statement and resume or bio for binder to Adobe Art Gallery.
01/27/18 – 1–3pm: Artist Reception: Please bring finger food to share.
03/10/18 – Exhibit ends
03/10/18 – 3–5pm: Pick up unsold work

Open to all A.R.T., Inc. members and most 2D and 3D media. No time-based media at this time. One entry per member. $15 entry fee (payable to A.R.T., Inc.) and A.R.T., Inc. member dues ($25 annually) may also be paid when artwork is delivered.

Judge: Rinna Flohr, owner of Expressions Gallery, 2035 Ashby Avenue, Berkeley, CA. Merit Awards and Honorable Mentions will be given.

Artist agrees to loan submitted work. All frames must be wired and ready to hang. Artist agrees not to remove exhibited work until the end of the exhibition. Artist will deliver artwork clean, dry, ready to install, with a label that includes Artist Name, Title, Media, Price or Value, Phone and Email. Specific label is not required but please include all information if not using label. Please limit framed work to 42 inches in height and width and sculpture weight to 50 lbs. Work must be original in nature and not previously shown at the gallery. Adobe Art Gallery reserves the right of final selection of the work to be shown.

Artist agrees to allow Adobe Art Gallery to use photographic reproductions of work to document and promote the exhibition.

Sale of exhibited work will be conducted through Adobe Art Gallery and all applicable sales tax will be charged. Adobe Art Gallery requires a 30% commission of the sale price from the artist. A completed W-9 is required from Artist in order to process payment. In the event of sale, artist will receive 70% portion of sale via check from H.A.R.D. usually within four to six weeks of exhibit end date. Artist will be notified of their work(s) sold, date sold, name and contact information of patron, price sold, and amount due to artist.

Artist, or designated representative, agrees to pick up work or de-install from Adobe Art Gallery on the listed date(s). Work left beyond these dates will incur a $5 fee per work, per day. Artist acknowledges that work left beyond 90 days may be discarded.

Artist will provide their own insurance if desired. The Hayward Area Recreation and Park District is self-insured and does not carry insurance for items submitted to the Adobe Art Gallery and therefore cannot be responsible for any loss or damage. All work is submitted at the Artist’s own risk. The Adobe Art Gallery will make every effort possible for safe handling of all work. Additionally, the Adobe Art Center is secured with an alarm system and is under the protection of Parks and Recreation security personnel.

*Email an image of your artwork for publicity to Leah Virsik, Adobe Art Gallery Director at adobegallery@haywardrec.org by December 13, 2017. This can be a detail if necessary. All image files for entry should be 300 dpi, .jpg format and at least 6x8 inches. Please include title, size and media. Use this convention to name file: LastNameFirstNameTitle.jpg (abbreviate if necessary)

Form submission indicates that the Artist has read and accepts the terms and requirements of this exhibit and Adobe Art Gallery.
